It’s such a great exercise for building lower body strength, it is especially important for the elderly since this is the same muscle we use to sit down and get up from the toilet and get in and out of the car. That’s why it is so important to preserve this muscle. But if done incorrectly, it can lead to injury or lack of progress.

Train Hard, Recover Hard!

Had my workout and recovery routine at the gym! I started with a warm-up. Then, I moved on to some strength training. After pushing hard, I treated myself to a relaxing Zero Gravity Chair Recovery session to unwind and let my muscles recover. Feeling energized and ready to take on the rest of the day!

Fit Body Bootcamp

Finally Oscar and I were able to try out a class at one of the Fit Body Bootcamp locations last week, and we had a fun and productive workout. We found out about Fitbody Bootcamp since we have been part of the Legacy Tribe group coaching, which was led by 3 amazing coaches: Bedros Keuilian who is the Franchise owner of Fitbody, Bryce Henson who is the CEO, and Jason Redman, who is a former Navy Seal. Between these three amazing coaches, it has definitely leveled up our mindset, guide us to be better entrepreneurs, and become 2.0 version of ourselves 😊

Pilates Class at the Local BASI Pilates Studio

After finishing my Pilates teacher training retreat in Portugal, I had my 1st session of private and group mat pilates class at the local BASI pilates studio, glad to find a host studio I can obtain my observation and teaching hours and continue my practice.

Just finished my BASI Pilates Teacher Training retreat at Casa Cales in Loule, Portugal. It’s been such a wonderful experience. Our group of 14 girls are from all over the world. Learned so much from each one of them. Looking forward to practicing more and teaching soon. Thanks especially to our instructor Ola Mazur, our assistant instructor Nami Skarule, and our retreat host Mareile Paley. On our last day, it happened to be International Pilates Day, and we joined the founder of BASI Pilates Rael Isacowitz for a Pilates session over zoom with people around the world! What a treat!

Working towards a healthy diet and fitness isn’t always easy. Some days, you might not feel like doing it and that’s when being disciplined, or sticking to your plan even when you don’t feel like it, becomes really important. It’s about making a commitment to yourself even when motivation is low.
But you don’t have to do it alone. Having someone by your side—whether a friend, a coach, or a support network—can make all the difference. But sometimes your friend or your spouse don’t want to cross their boundary and be a nag, that’s the benefit for hiring a professional coach.

Experiencing the Activator Method

Since my ankle was still swollen from twisting it back in Nov in Hong Kong, I decided to have my friend Dr Ted Marriott take a look. Dr Marriott is a chiropractor specializing in the gentle Activator method without any cracking. It was crazy how he found my misalignment or the discrepancy of my leg length and was able to fix it instantly. He also told me that my misalignment was caused by crossing my ankle.
Dr. Marriott has been treating patients for a variety of conditions and symptoms, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, spinal pain, joint pain in the arms and legs, TMJ/TMD, osteoarthritis, sciatica, pinched nerves, referred pain, frozen shoulder, muscular pain and imbalance, carpal tunnel symptoms, and auto injuries including whiplash. He also provides wellness care to help promote and maintain optimal health.
