El Kusina Cooking Class

Every time I travel to a different country, I like to experience the local food and culture. That’s why we signed up for a cooking class in El Nido, Philippines. We made 3 dishes (Kwek Kwek with Sinamak, Kinilaw, Kare Kare), and 2 desserts (Turon and Crema da Mangga).
-Kwek Kwek with Sinamak: Hard boiled quailed egg fried in annato batter served with Sinamak which is a spiced vinegar sauce
-Kinilaw: a Philippino style cerviche made with tuna
-Kare Kare: Peanut buttery beef stew with veggies
-Turon: Spring roll filled with banana and jackfruit
-Crema da Mangga: Icebox dessert made with layers of Graham crackers, sweetened whipped cream, and riped mango
