2. **Education:** Educate yourself on the benefits of healthy choices through reliable sources of information or hire a coach.
3. **Preparation:** Plan and prepare balanced meals and healthy snacks in advance to avoid resorting to less healthy options such as drive-through or fast food restaurants.
4. **Environment:** Stock up on healthy easy to prepare food in the fridge and protein/fiber rich snacks that supports healthy choices by reducing temptations and encouraging healthy habits.
5. **Community:** Engage with healthy and active communities and identify support systems or Dietitian coach that can keep you accountable and encourage healthy lifestyle choices.

Age is inevitable, but deterioration is optional

Here’s me and my 82 year young dad having the best time of our lives, biking near Lake Tahoe. While we can’t stop time, we can choose how we age. Imagine feeling vibrant and healthy at any age—this is something you CAN control!

Age is just a number

Celebrated my 82-year-young dad’s birthday with a biking adventure! At age 82, he goes swimming and does strength training daily at YMCA, then he goes lawn bowling 3X/wk, and walks 10K steps daily. He also goes grocery shopping and does all the cooking for the family. He also follows my nutrition advice so he was able to reverse his diabetes and cholesterol. My dad’s healthy eating and active lifestyle reminds me that our health is our most valuable asset, and it’s never too late to start taking care of ourselves.

Let out of distractions that hinder you

Sometimes, the path to a healthier you isn’t about adding more, but about removing what no longer serves you and distractions that pull you away from your goals. Whether it’s unhealthy habits, inconsistency, fad diets or negative mindset, clearing away the clutter makes space for positivity and progress. Focus is key on your journey to a healthier you.

Choose your path wisely…

Most people want to look for quick fixes such as popping a pill, getting a shot, or doing bariatric surgery instead of doing the hard work such as changing their lifestyle, focus on nourishing their body & prioritizing exercising. While medicine and surgery have their place, they usually don’t address the root cause, they might just temporarily mask the problems. After all, everyone deserves to enjoy a healthy body.
